About the Founder

It is an immense jubilant and blessed moment in briefing the spiritual journey and contributions of Srila Sri Maharaja Pattar who is the founder and secretary of Mutharamman goshala ( Pasu Padhukappu Sangam). He was born in the lineage of orthodox archagar family for the religious couple Sri S. Shanmuga sundarar pattar and Smt. Ammani Ammal in Thiruchendur, later he was brought by his aunt Smt.Lakshmi Ammal.  Our founder began his Vedic studies at the young age from his guru Sri. Muthaiya Patter. He has learnt Veda, Upanishads, Poòja procedures and other Agama sashthrams.  

He became a grahasthar with compatible soulmate Smt.Geetha and started dedicating his devotional spiritual service in Arulmigu Sri Subramanya Swami temple, Thiruchendur from 1968 to 1977.  Later, he moved to Kulasekrapattinam with his family and pursued his devotional spiritual service as a main priest in Kulasekrapattinam  Sri Mutharamman temple from 1971 till now.

Even after the renunciation from his main priest post, still he is advocating, contributing and mentoring all the religious activities of Mutharamman Temple.  Besides, our founder has amazingly contributed his divine potential to many social activities like annadhanam, providing free education to underprivileged children, helping the physically challenged and conducting free medical camps.  He has been honoured with the doctorate title for his major  social services for human society.  Our founder is a proficient guru in teaching poòja classes for children in gurukulam. He has conducted many homas, parihara pooja and Gho pooja etc.  He started Mutharamman Ghoshala in 2003 and registered in 2007 with the graceful blessings of Mutharamman. 

About Ghoshala & Temple

With the blessings of Mutharamman, Srila Sri Maharaja Pattar has started Mutharamman Ghoshala ( Pasu Padhukappu Sangam) for the welfare of cows. Ghoshala has been successfully functioning with 50+ cows, goats along with ducks and dogs.

The main goal is to rescue and rehabilitate the neglected cows and nurture them back to health and develop an environment where they are cherished. Mutharamman Ghoshala not only nurtures the forsaken, the abandoned cattle, but also strive to protect the indigenous cows and help further the lineage.

Currently, Ghoshala is further extended and decorated with 108 Shivling prathishta. The temple is being constructed with 108 shivlingam, Trimurthis with their sakthis as Brahma & Saraswati, Vishnu & Lakshmi and Gyanamoorthiswarar & Mutharamman as per Agama Rules. It is named as Thenthiru Kailayam 108 Mukti lingeswarar Temple.  Best place to do parihara homams and poojas.
